Endless Knight

Endless Knight - Kresley Cole

Evie has her full powers as the Tarot Empress, and Jack was there to see it all. Teens reincarnated as the Tarot are in the throes of an epic battle for mankind. She must trust new allies against other Arcana, Bagmen zombies, post-apocalyptic storms, and cannibals. But she's also drawn to Death, the Endless Knight, who shares history with the Empress. She can't remember; he can't forget.

THOUGHTS:

Endless Knight is the second book to the series Arcana Chronicles. The first book is called Poison Princess, which is a fantastic debut book! I encourage you all to read it. I have already done a review on it! Click here to read it.

Right were we left last time, we see that Evie and Jack are in the rain watching each other with new sets of eyes. Before, Evie didn't know who she was or what she is destined for, but now she knows. She understands who she is and what she must do to survive this game.

What I really liked about this book was the introduction of the card called "Death," who have won the game of the Tarot cards for the last several years. He is supposedly a vicious and malicious Tarot card, but what we didn't know is that Evie, who is the Empress, had a "romantic" relationship with Death in her past lives. In the second book, we learn more about Death like who he is and the relationship he had with "Evie." I really liked learning about their relationship. There were moments in the book where I was so frustrated with Evie, because sometimes I don't think she has grown up. She doesn't own up to her feelings for Jack, but then Jack is stubborn as well. He doesn't know how to interact with Evie, knowing who she is finally.

Out of the whole book, I really enjoyed Death and Evie's relationship. I think I looked forward to it the most. The only thing that disappointed me was the end of book. The author did a great job of leaving a cliff hanger, but I was disappointed in Death. He made a wrong decision, and he is going to regret it. I was actually rooting for Death and I was so angry toward the angry of the book.

If you like adventure, magic, and romance, this is the book for you. It really encompasses what a typical YA book is about.
