Flimsy Legs

Hi everyone,

It has been awhile since I wrote something personal about me. My last personal entry to this blog that is unrelated to books was my dream. It might have scared you, but I think it was not as scary as my other nightmares when I dream about scary horror movie characters (my friends force me to watch them). I am more of a Disney, Nickelodeon movie kind of person. I really dislike horror movies. Anyway, this personal post is going to be about my last week of my break.

It started out by going to the ice skating rink. I wanted to impress one of friends that I can ice skate. Apparently, my friends say that I can be a bit of a brag or a show off, which I think is ridiculous and quickly denies this accusation. I went with a group of 4 other friends to the public ice skating rink, which was filled with many people of young and old. Let me just say, I looked like a fool compare to the 5 year olds, who whizzes past me, and the old chaps, who glides so gracefully on the ice like swan ballerinas. Knowing me, it takes time for me to adjust to the icy surface. I haven't ice skated in years or even roller-blade, so I need to pat myself on the back for being able to go 10 mph on the rink and also I was much better than half of my friends.

As I was trying to adjust to the ice, my friend was jokingly pushing me to throw off my balance. I was able to catch myself a few times, but the third time when she pushed I feel on my knees. You could hear my knees slamming into the ice with a loud THUMP. I felt a sharp cold pain up my thighs. It was like a burst of shock. My friend apologized for pushing me and felt really guilty. I forgave her and we continued on ice skating. The following few days, a dark blotch of purple and blue started forming on my knee (on one but not the other, which is funny). I would tell my friend about my bruise to make her feel bad, and I love to make her feel guilty.

Today, I decided to go to my friend's badminton club game. It's not a competitive game where you are playing with other schools, but anybody who would like to join in a friendly game of badminton. I went with a group of friends (a different set of friends) to play badminton. One friend decided that she also wants to play basketball on the side, so she borrowed a ball. My friend, another friend, and I played basketball, then it became a little bit to aggressive. I "twisted" or "rolled my ankle." I don't know which it was, but all I remember is the sound of something snapping. Once I heard that sound, I felt an aching pain surrounding my ankle. I felt like I was in slow motion. In slow motion, my legs gave out and my side landed on the gym floor with a thud. It was like a life alert moment for me. I felt a tingling pain that I kept squirming from the feeling (it looked like I was squirming). Now, I am sitting in my room with an ankle brace writing about this. My foot feels heavy and it hurts if I put any pressure on my "sprain" ankle.

Long story short, not only did I get a fat bruise on my knee, but I have also added a sprain ankle to the stupid things I could of done in one week. What dumb things did you do in less than one week?
