The Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger
Audrey Niffenegger's dazzling debut is the story of Clare, a beautiful, strong-minded art student, and Henry, an adventuresome librarian, who have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was thirty-six, and were married when Clare was twenty-three and Henry thirty-one. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: his genetic clock randomly resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future. His disappearances are spontaneous and unpredictable, and lend a spectacular urgency to Clare and Henry's unconventional love story. That their attempt to live normal lives together is threatened by something they can neither prevent nor control makes their story intensely moving and entirely unforgettable.

THOUGHTS:
Everyone who knows this title, probably can refer to the movie very essential to the story being told in the book whom Rachel McAdams was in. I read the book before watching the movie. I don't think I would of cried as much if I didn't read the book first. There are many things in the book that the director didn't include in the book. I think those that were not in the movie were
The book was amazing. The characters were amazing. The story was heartbreaking. I fell in love with Henry. He was a character you hope that he can be truly happy and be with the one he loves. Apparently, in the world he lives in, life just seemed to be against him and his struggle to go through life is truly tragic. Fortunately, all is not as agonizing at it seems until he meets the "one." The "one" who will be his wife and understand his condition, Clara.
I liked it when Henry and Clara were able to finally meet and spend their lives together. Those two brought out the best in each other, and when things got bad, they support one another. Le me just say, the ending brought me to tears. I couldn't hold back my cries. My tears turn into sobs then into wailing. I thought the ending, I mean the last scene was just so sad, and I know the author was trying to give the reader comfort at the closing scene. However, I felt no such comfort but pain. It took me a while to get over the book, and every time I see the book I remember the ending.... and I cry once more.
The style of the writing was magnificent. It is really hard for writers to flip from different time settings, and I know especially that I have difficulty following the timeline. I applaud how perfectly that was executed. Amazing book. I highly, highly recommend this book. This book is a fictional romance book. It is about two star cross lovers, who fall into a sad twist of an end to their story. I will not spoil it for you, but you should definitely buy it or borrow it from your local library.
