Awry

Awry - Chelsea Fine
Sometimes love is meant to be. But sometimes...love is the death of you....

Seventeen-year-old Scarlet has just died. Only, dying isn't unusual for a girl under a centuries old curse that left her semi-immortal.

This time, though, she comes back to her current life instead of awaking in a new one, and she realizes the curse is changing. Together with the immortal Archer brothers, Scarlet must piece together her life and try to break the curse before her impending death comes again.

THOUGHTS:

The book was okay. I didn't think it was compelling as the first book. It was a bit predictable about the changing of the curse. Somehow as I was reading it I wanted to put the book down, one because it was predictable, and two because the plot was stale~ I liked how Fine explained how both brothers and Scarlet were cursed. In general, the second book is mostly revealing the past of the three main character. I think the best part I liked about the book was toward the end. Scarlet "subconsciously" becomes bad ass. I will not elaborate anything further than that she was pulling off awesome karate moves on some bad guys. I didn't like the sequel so much, but I definetly recommend people to read it, because this book will clear up some unanswered question from the first book, Anew. I have done the review on the first, so please look at it. If you enjoyed reading Anew, testing of true love, and struggle of identity in characters, this book is for you. Read it and leave a comment of what you thought about it.

p.s. 3rd book of the trilogy is called Avow. I don't know if I want to do a review on it if I didn't enjoy the 2nd book. If I do then you will see it on the review tab.
