Shatter Me & Destroy Me & Unravel Me - Tahereh Mafi
Shatter Me
Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.
The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.
The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war – and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.
Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.
Destroy Me
Back at the base and recovering from his near-fatal wound, Warner must do everything in his power to keep his soldiers in check and suppress any mention of a rebellion in the sector. Still as obsessed with Juliette as ever, his first priority is to find her, bring her back, and dispose of Adam and Kenji, the two traitors who helped her escape. But when Warner’s father, The Supreme Commander of The Reestablishment, arrives to correct his son’s mistakes, it’s clear that he has much different plans for Juliette. Plans Warner simply cannot allow

time for war.
Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.
She's finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.
Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.
In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam's life.

THOUGHTS:
Shatter Me series is by far the most exciting series ever! The book is centered on this girl name Juliette, who has been locked up in prison for about two years. She was sentenced to prison because she killed someone. I like it when the character has a dark past. It makes me want to figure out who they were and who they have become. The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. In the two years, Juliette has not been in touch with the outside world and she finds out how the government is in chaos. The world is desolate, people are revolting, and dieing. In the first book, I liked the contrast of meeting Juliette's love interest Adam, and Juliette's enemy, Warner. I would imagine that it is hard writing an evil villain and Mafi did a good job of creating Warner. Warner, who is this despicable, smothering, handsome man. I liked how Juliette has this cool power, which there are some parts of the book she does uses.
Unravel Me, the second book, was not as great as the first. The first book was a lot more adventurous. Juliette running away from the bad guys along with Adam. She finds that she is not the only one that is different. In the second book, Juliette joined the revolution or people who believe in the revolution, but there is a twist...they are like Juliette. They also have powers too. What I didn't enjoy about Unravel Me was the struggle of Juliette accepting her identity, her acceptance of her powers. There were times I was frustrated. Don't get me wrong! It still a good book. I liked the character Kenji. He makes the book light and funny. He is one of those characters who you wish they were your friend in real life. He can easily make you laugh whenever you are down. You get to understand more about Warner's character, which is ******. That means its a SPOILER! There were moments Juliette got to really unleash her powers and it was just so COOL! I suggest you get these two books! If you enjoy character build, cool POWERS, awesome love triangle!
Please read the novella Destroy Me! It is really good way of understanding the world that Mafi has created in the books. Plus, this book is narrated and in the eyes of Warner! It is really good!
3rd book is coming out in February 2014 - Untitled (has not been announced)
